Tips for a longer life
To prevent and eliminate surface stains, wipe the surface with lukewarm water immediately after use. Then dry with a clean, dry dish towel. Never immerse the wooden board in water. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents. If you want to remove stains, moisten the board with warm water and sprinkle it with coarse salt and/or baking soda. Alternatively, cut a lemon in half and gently rub the board to release the juice. Leave it for 5 minutes and remove the excess with a cleaning brush.Caring for your board depends on your use. Daily use and dry climates require more frequent care. We recommend that you care for your board frequently, especially after washing, by applying a board oil suitable for contact with food.
Natural productPlease note that all our items are made from natural materials and may vary slightly in size, pattern and colour due to natural variations in the wood. All our products are completely safe and suitable for contact with food.Wooden bowls, boards and utensils are a great addition to your kitchen. Wood is naturally antibacterial, so cleaning and disinfecting these items from time to time helps control the amount of bacteria that can grow on wood. Despite popular belief, the porous surface of wood actually deprives bacteria of the heat and moisture they need to survive, and bacteria actually die on the surface within seconds.
